More Flow From More Voltage: the E5LM's flow can be boosted significantly by raising the voltage into its controller. TI's own flow data shows the pump moving 505 LPH at 12V and 574 LPH at 13.5V at 40 psi (+14%), and 367 LPH vs 442 LPH at 100 psi (+20%). Radium Engineering states the pump can be run on 8 to 18 volts DC, with pump speed changing accordingly. TI publishes flow figures at 12V and 13.5V only, so flow above 13.5V is not rated by TI.

Why Go Brushless?

The TI Automotive E5LM represents the next generation of in-tank fuel pump technology. TI says brushless pumps run more efficiently with less electrical load, make less noise because of less friction, and can last longer than a brushed fuel pump - and the E5LM draws about 7.4 amps at 40 psi (13.5V), less than half what the Walbro 450/485 (15.4A at 38 psi, the nearest point in TI's table) and 525 Hellcat (19.0A at 40 psi) turbine pumps pull on 13.5V in TI's flow tables. With up to 1000+ HP capability and PWM speed control, it's the ultimate fuel pump for serious builds. This basket eliminates the typical mounting hassles - no more cutting up your OEM basket, no more hacking together a sketchy mount, no more wondering if your pump will shift under hard cornering.

Installation Notes:

This basket handles the mounting - you'll still need to sort out your own wiring and fuel lines for the E5LM pump. The E5LM runs on the controller supplied in TI's BKS1001 kit (pump and controller sold separately). TI calls for 12 gauge or larger pump wiring, a minimum 25 amp fuse and a 40 amp relay. Note that the E5LM does not have an integrated check valve - a check valve adapter is recommended. Remove the factory fuel pump assembly from the tank, replace the OEM basket with the podio1 basket, install your E5LM pump, and complete your wiring and line connections.
